Dr. Kevin Brownell’s interest in the chiropractic profession began as a young athlete when he experienced first-hand the benefits of chiropractic care to treat and manage many sport related injuries—an experience he continues to enjoy today as a professional lacrosse player.
As a longtime resident of Waterdown, Ontario, Kevin values the importance of community involvement and recreational opportunities for our youth, and continues to work closely with both the Hamilton and Burlington Minor Lacrosse Associations, to develop their youth programs.
Dr. Brownell completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science in 2012 from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he played NCAA Division 1 lacrosse on an athletic scholarship. Dr. Brownell then pursued his education at the Canadian

Karli obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Redeemer University. Karli has always been fascinated by the intricacies of the human body, and her post-secondary education has served to deepen her passion for exploring and understanding human movement and rehabilitation.
During her time at the University of Toronto, Karli completed clinical placements in cardiovascular, neurological, and orthopaedic physical therapy practice, working with individuals across the lifespan. She has gained skills in manual therapy and has developed a robust understanding of exercise prescription. Karli has completed additional courses in acupuncture and has obtained certification through Pelvic Health Solutions to be a pelvic health physiotherapy provider. Karli is incredibly passionate about wellbeing, physical health and fitness and has been a fitness coach and trainer at F45 since 2020. Dr. Thomas earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. She was honoured to receive the Gilbert H. Young Memorial Award for obtaining the Highest Academic Standing for her Clinical Internship in the 2019 graduating class. Dr. Thomas additionally attained her Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Diploma from McMaster University in 2019. Dr. Thomas is also a graduate of Western University, having received her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with Specialization in Kinesiology, in 2015.
From her high school days, running track and playing volleyball, Dr. Thomas has been fascinated with the human body, its biology, mechanics, and resilience– especially its capacity to adapt and heal with proper care. Taryn’s keen interest and appreciation for chiropractic care was piqued during her undergraduate program while shadowing two dynamic young chiropractors.
